Legends
Ranch is located in Greenacres, Washington, just outside of Spokane
near the Washington/Idaho border. The owners, Joe and Joanne
Pettit, have been raising Reining Horses since 1991. Joanne is
actively involved in showing as a Non Pro in the NRHA and is
currently serving as President of the Reining Horse Association
of the Northwest.
The Legends Ranch mares are chosen for their bloodlines, conformation and disposition and are crossed on proven stallions. Current sale offerings include own daughters and sons of Mr Melody Jac, Hazelight and Dun Its Lucky Chex.
These horses grow up running in large, rolling pastures where
they are able to run and play, developing strong legs, natural
balance and agility.

Millenium Smart
Outstanding 2000 broodmare by I’ll Be Smart, full brother to Smart Little Lena, and out of a producing Bueno Chex mare. She is has a huge hip, beautiful neck and head, and is an easy breeder. Her maternal half brother was the 2007 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Limited Open Reserve Champion. She has produced two colts and one filly. We are riding the colts and they are proving to be exceptional prospects. Shown here with her 2008 filly by Hazelight, a super cute filly that is also available for sale. Offered for sale as a broodmare but we are leaving her open. She is sound and broke to ride.

Dun Its Smart Chex
Naturally low headed, soft in the face, responsive and very trainable. We had planned to keep him as my husband’s saddle horse, but he is too nice a horse to only be ridden a few times a year. This is a great horse for the money. He is young, sound, and has the potential to go a number of different directions.
